So – What the heck is Obamacare?

Hello America.  Greetings Comrades.  In March 2010, congress passed a bill and the president signed it into law: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or ‘Affordable Care Act‘. It is now commonly referred to as ‘Obamacare’. The object of this sweeping change is to make health care more affordable, regulate the healthcare industry and reduce overall spending on healthcare. The obamacare healthcare bill was hotly debated (it still is) and the subject of many legal challenges. The Supreme court has held that it is constitutional. Like it or not, as President Obama has said. “change has come to America”. It is over 1000 pages of typical congressional legalese. Here, straight from the White House, are the main goals of the law:
